Obtaining a Bag Tag
- In order to obtain a bag tag, a player must be a current member of Bay County Disc Golf Club.
- Tags for the calendar year are issued at the annual Bay County Disc Golf Club Membership Tournament.
- Upon completion of the tournament, tags will be distributed based on the final leaderboard.
- If a member joins Bay County Disc Golf Club after the Membership Tournament, a bag tag can
be purchased by contacting the Club Chairman or another member of the Board of Directors.
Player Conduct
- Players should conduct themselves in accordance with the Bay County Disc Golf Club values, rules outlined below, as well as PDGA guidelines.
- The purpose of the Bag Tag Challenge is to foster friendly competition among Bay County Disc Golf Club members.
- Poor sportsmanship will result in the revocation of a bag tag.
- For the Bag Tag Challenge to be successful, all challenges should be accepted.
- Players should have bag tags plainly visible at all times on bags or carts to encourage challenges.
- The goal is to have fun. Remember: it is only a tag.
Challenges
- Challenges run from the annual Bay County Disc Golf Club Membership Tournament through the remainder of the calendar year.
- Players with a higher bag tag number may challenge a player possessing a lower bag tag number within eight (8) of their own number.
- The challenged player must choose two times within the next two weeks to meet with the challenger or must forfeit the tag.
- The challenged player chooses the course and tees to be played. Stroke play is preferred, but not required.
- If the challenger wins the round, tags are exchanged. If the round ends in a tie, tags are not
exchanged.
- A player cannot lose a challenge and immediately submit another challenge to the same tag
holder.
- If play is stopped as a result of inclement weather or another emergency, tags are not exchanged.
- Multiple members playing the same course at the same time can choose to have a group bag
tag challenge if all players consent. Tags are distributed by score at the end of the round.
- Players possessing lower tag numbers are expected to accept challenges regularly to keep bag
tags moving and facilitate a friendly and competitive environment for club members.
Reporting
- Players should update Bay County Disc Golf Club with the results of bag tag challenges.
- The winner of the challenge is responsible for reporting the results to the Club.
